RED
Barbera
From one of the most popular vines for red in all of Piemonte, this is a light, fresh and fruity wine with a lively flavour that is good for drinking young. Versatile and robust it can be paired with just about anything.
Barbera d’Asti
Highly regarded from one of Piemonte's most popular vines with a fresh but full-bodied flavour and hint of sour cherry, extremely smooth texture and the deepest ruby-coloured hue. Versatile and robust, it can be paired with many dishes.
Dolcetto
One of Piemonte’s most popular and friendly wines the ‘little sweet one’ has a supple, smooth and full-flavoured character; a little sweeter in comparison to Barbera with flavours that are softly mouth-filling. Its fruitiness and spiciness enables it to be drunk relatively young.
Barbaresco
One of Piemonte’s two most premier red wines, often regarded as the ‘little brother’ of Barolo with its slightly lighter and earlier maturing character, but with a great concentration of flavour.
Barolo
Known as the ‘King of Wines and Wine of Kings’ this wine is majestic in every sense and the most concentrated expression of the Nebbiolo grape with an intensely rich and chewy fruit flavour. Perfumed and velvety in texture, enhanced by being aged in oak casks.
WHITE
Cortese
Piemonte’s most famous (and finest) white grape, this wine has the same delicate, dry and refreshing quality as some Pinot Grigio and Chablis wines. Crisp and fruity with moderate acidity.
Gavi
From the native Cortese grape, this is one of Italy’s most coveted whites with a crisp, dry and lively character combined with floral, peachy qualities.
Tre Uve
A combination of three different grapes –Viognier, Chardonnay and Arneis – selected to create a crisp white with all the variety of flavours each distinct grape brings to its multi-faceted character.
Langhe Arneis
With a name meaning ‘little rascal’ in regional dialect due to its reputation as a difficult variety to grow, this dry and full-bodied wine is worth the effort producing a delicate, crisp and floral character with notes of pear and apple. Often referred to as ‘white Barolo’- even though the grapes bear no relation to each other.
SPUMANTE
Chardonnay Cometa - White
A dry sparkling wine from the white chardonnay grape, this shares many of the characteristics of prosecco with equally lively appearance and taste!
Malvasia Nera - Red
A full-bodied and softly textured sparkling wine valued for its deep pink colour and musky, aromatic quality. Slightly sweet and with floral aromas, this is a quintessentially Piemontese dessert wine.
